Hey guys
I was wondering if a GTX 970 be able to run 3 1080p screens. asus vx238h to be precise. main games I'm playing are DayZ. Not too sure if il be using the 3 screens to game with or 2 just for streaming and 1 for gaming.

Please help me decide between a 970 or 980. Looking at saving as much money as possible but don't want to cheap out and get something half good.

Heres my current build I'm planning on

Other: ASUS H97-PRO-GAMER Motherboard

GTX 970 -> -/+ 10% slower then the GTX 980 for almost half the price, the obvious is to get the GTX 970. Then possibly SLI it with the extra money later on, which will blow the GTX 980 out of the water dead flat! With SLI you'd want a higher wattage PSU if considering. Motherboard -> Not specified.

That card will support three screens also.

I was thinking of getting the ASUS H97-PRO-GAMER as my mobo. But now i think il get a 970 with the option of upgrading to SLI in the future. H97 boards can't SLI am i correct? can anyone suggest i decent Mobo

I've used NVidia surround on my single GTX 680. It works fine but your frames will probably be limited to the 40 with "high" graphics settings. The bigger question is whether or not Day Z will run in ultra wide screen. I would do as others suggested. Get a GTX 970 and a good 750 watt PSU. Then just SLI the card if things begin to drag down a big.

What about the Asus Z98 Pro? Is that a decent Mobo to run 970s in SLI?
Also ll reconsider my CPU seeing how I'm getting a Z97 Mobo. Im a big Football Manager fan and i think thats cpu heavy so il have to find benchmarks.

haha can't convince myself in spending $250+ for a maximus hero or Asus z97 Pro (i live in australia)
I have broaden my choices down to
MSI Z97-G45-GAMING ATX Motherboard
Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 3 ATX Motherboard
ASUS Z97-A LGA1150 ATX Motherboard
Asrock Fatal1ty Z97X Killer 3xPCIE ATX Motherboard

Which one is better?
