I've just built a new Ubuntu server and set up samba shares for myself and my wife.

Two windows machines connect with no problem
Two Android tablets connect with no problem.

However, one Windows (W10) machine will not connect (access denied). It sees the shares but simply won't connect.
I've rebooted several times.

The only difference I see is that this machine is connected via WIFI; whereas the others are hard wired.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Not sure I have not used much file sharing for a quite a while.

It is not directly a wifi issue. It could be that the wifi adapter is configured differently, private/public network setting tends to cause lots of issues with file sharing.

Wifi itself is purely a method of passing and encrypting data. The wifi network does not care what type of data is actually in the data packets. In fact it does not even use IP addresses or know application it purely uses mac addresses.
