Hello, I have an Asus n56jr, and it throttles a bit actually about 50%. I underclocked the cpu and undervolted it by -70 mV. Temps got low on CPU everything was fine. Until i launched Battlefield 4, i get about 110-145 FPS on gtx 760m, 5 mins after, starts stuttering, thermal throttle gets above 50%. THIS ONLY HAPPENS WHEN USING GPU.CPU temps max out at 70-75, when GPU is on it shoots to above 90. Games become un-playable,Any solutions?

Try this,
First of all you need to TOTALLY remove all the old drivers. Use this link.
http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/
Note:
Select the respective company(i.e Nvidia or ATI) drivers to be uninstalled.
Use clean and restart option.
And then install the new drivers after rebooting.

What is your budget?

I was looking at several videos showing how to disassemble the N56J, and they have a "don't do it" all over the place.

None of them show the laptop actually turning on when finished.

What can I do to cool it from the outside?

Or how can I make the CPU work cooler? I am not doing anything that needs it at full throttle.

Comments show many people commenting video screen being hard to reconnect too.

What settings can I use to lower temperatures with this CPU?
