[SOLVED] Thrustmaster 16000M and Linux

I've heard Linux supports a wide variety of controllers, but I just recently got a new HOTAS device called the Thrustmaster T16000M flight pack for flight and space simulation type games.

Does anyone know from personal experience whether these peripherals will work nicely with Linux? If not, do you know an easy way to find out?

I've been thinking about installing Linux but I'm worried my new flight sticks won't work with it.

The device has been good to go out of the box as a plug and play device, people who have used drivers for the T 1600M have had mixed experiences. Would this help?

If it says "detected," that means the computer saw it plugged in but it didn't work, right?
