thumping keyboard problem

this might seem like such a minor problem for most people but It's really bothering me. So I bought this new desk called the Ikea Malm and ever since I started using my keyboard on it, It sounds like I am thumping on the desk every time I press down a key. I use the Razer Blackwidow chroma and I know the sounds are clicky but when I type on this desk , It sounds like I'm thumping super loud when I press the space bar for example. Is this a ridiculous thing to complain about ? It just bothers me how loud the thumping is when I play games and stuff. I don't know if there is another way to fix this other than buying a whole new desk but I really don't want to spend another 200 on a desk after I cable managed everything.

You'd have to place some sort of cushioning under the keyboard. pads, small towel, etc...
