I have the Logitech Z2200 and I keep getting a constant thumping noise from my sub.

Everything is plugged in tight and I just got a new mobo with onboard sound (I use to use a sound card) so it can't be that. It thumps even when the volume is down/muted. Are my speakers broken? I've had them for a 2 semesters.

Do you have a microphone? If so unplug it or turn it down.

Yeah, I would say a mic is on that shouldn't be. But, the fact that it's a new MB doesn't rule out problems there, just lessens the chance. In fact, I've found plenty of problems with "new" equipment, usually more often than with broken in stuff.
Did you ge the pops with the sound card? If not, try putting that card in the new MB and see if that works.
