[SOLVED] Thunderbolt 3 40gbps cables

I'm building a new AMD Ryzen-based desktop, to support a home studio based around the Presonus Quantum 2626 Audio Interface. I've purchased most of my components; I'm just waiting for the new ASUS Pro-ART B550-Creator motherboard to be released, hopefully sometime in April. I've selected this particular motherboard for its Thunderbolt 3/4 support, as the Presonus Quantum 2626 audio interface connects to its host via a TB3 connection.

Now for my question. How does one find a 40gbps-rated Thunderbolt 3 cable? In my innocence and naivete, I purchased an IOGEAR Thunderbolt 3 cable from Newegg for about $35. On arrival at my home, I discover it's only rated at 20gbps. (No mention of transfer speed in its specs online, mea culpa...)

I've been looking at all the usual vendors have to offer, and am a trifle confused. Orico offers a 40gbps cable for $35, Tripp Lite has an apparently similar one for $98.

What am I missing? Why would I spend $98 if the $35 Orico cable works? How do I make an informed decision in this new (to non-Apple PC platform) technology?

Is anyone else farther along this learning curve than me?

It'd be much appreciated if you are...

Dear boju,

Thank you! It's greatly appreciated... you very likely have saved me from a potentially onerous shopping/acquisition experience.

I hope I can return the favor someday.
