So recently I bought 240hz alienware monitor and I connected it using official dp cable and tb3 to dp adapter. Before buying I carefully checked alienware's website and nothing said that there will be a ny problems connecting to display using thunderbolt 3. Now its connected to intel integrated graphics. Any way to make it connect to the proper graphics card (the card inside the laptop is gtx1080).

Solution
It depends on how the laptop is configured. Most laptops have USB-C/TB3 ports connected via the integrated GPU. There's nothing you can do to change that.

You can use task manager to check it. If you have a dedicated GPU it will show up separate in the resource monitor section. From there you can tell if it’s being used easily. The integrated graphics will have its own monitor screen separate from the one for the GPU. In Windows 10 anyways.
