Hi,

I am after a high res photo of the 9 to 5 pin Thunderbolt adapter. Specifically the the red and orange arrangement on the 9 pin side. Several motherboards have this adapter, including the Asus Z97-deluxe. I need one but can't buy one, so will make one. The 5 pin side is just a sl molex type http://www.ebay.com/itm/MOLEX-5-Pin-2520-2-54mm-Male-Female-Crimps-with-LOCK-Connector-x-10-Sets-/111380528008?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item19eecbfb88 and the 9 pin side a 9 pin audio header plug will work. I know the black yellow and brown but can't get a clear photo of the red and orange.
The part number is 14003-00380000.
Could someone please post a photo.
Cheers

Pete

Hi,
Thanks.
I've seen that photo which is what I used to get the Black Brown and Yellow cables, but I'm not 100% sure if the red is indeed on the top of the orange in the photo of the 9 pin header. I've seen another photo where it looks like the orange is on top of the red. Can you confirm that the red wire is horizontal of the brown wire?

Thanks

Pete

Ok. I have confirmed the colors on the adapter. I have also confirmed the Thunderbolt EXII dual works on an ASRock H97 performance. It shows up in the device manager. I plugged in a Apple Thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter and the thunderbolt software saw it. I installed the latest thunderbolt drivers and software from Intel: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/23742. I used the red pcie-16 slot beside the 5 pin thunderbolt plug. I enabled thunderbolt in the bios and kept all the settings default. The Apple Ethernet adapter doesn't show in the device manager yet, even after reboots with it fitted. Will have a play with the bios settings next.
