Question Thunderbolt/USB Hub for Late-2011 MBPro

I've got a 13" Late-2011 MBPro, which has the standard 2 USB 2.0 ports. At least one of the ports is definitely dodgy - knock a usb stick even slightly whilst it's connected and it loses connection and won't find it again. It's restrictive enough only having 2 ports at the best of times; I definitely can't function with just the one.

Just wondering whether it's possible to get a USB 3.0 hub that plugs into the Thunderbolt port?
Also - is there an adapter that allows you to output to two screens (one duplicating your laptop monitor, one extended)?
