Hey all,

I'm experiencing lag/ping issues with gaming (Rocket League) as well as streaming (PS Vue) on wireless. Speed out of the wall is good with a wired connection (~190 down, 30 up), but degrades significantly when on wireless (~20 down, 15 up), even with only one device currently in use. Device info below:

Router/modem combo: Zoom 5352
Firestick: latest generation
PC wireless adapter: Netgear A6210

Is it time to upgrade my modem/router? Anything to try before doing so?

Thanks!

Yes, it would be beneficial to upgrade. I would recommend getting a standalone modem from the approved list your ISP publishes. Then you can buy any router, because you will have an ethernet out of the modem. When you change ISP, you can get a new modem and keep the router just as-is.
An Asus RT-AC68U or a Netgear R7000 is a good choice for a mid-grade router.
