About this time last year Time Warner pulled UseNet service to upstate New York. Time Warner's comment was that third party providers can be found to provide that service. Very few people said a thing about it or knew what it is. Now they are capping and counting the number of bytes coming to and going out of my house. What's the point in having a fast service? Roadrunner pushes it's speed yet the more you use it the more they penalize you. As far as I can tell Time Warner is afraid that fast internet service coupled with unlimited downloads will harm their cable TV service and phone service. They are correct, their cable service and network programming in general is so awful that people like me having found a way to get fine programming through the internet won't pay for cable junk. Their phone service is at best good but not superb at another $30 a month. Forced to pay $100 or more a month I will find another provider. I miss UseNet.

Wow... FiOS sounds awesome. I mean really, 5x the DL speed & 90x my upload for the same money (49.99)? My god, that is a no brainer! I've been very satisfied with my Road Runner connection but damn, if that is true who can resist a deal like that?

It would be like the salesman trying to talk you into a standard Mustang GT when there is a Shelby 500 Cobra Mustang for the same money on the other side of the lot! lol Which do you think anyone with half a brain would go for?

If this price hike goes through, Verizon here I come!
