Timecode Display Question

Camera is a JVC GR-DVL505U. Capturing through a Pinnicle AV/DV board.

Regardless of what I set on the camera, the timecode will not display on the
video on capture when going through the DV port. Obviously the timecode is
imbedded in the captured file, but in Studio there is no setting I can find
that will allow me to turn on display of the timecode for the video.

Am I missing something? How do I do this?

Likely no camcorders (or VCRs for that matter) will superimpose
timecode on the video that is output via Firewire.

The only possible ways of doing this are likely to capture analog
out (assuming that you can turn on the superimposed numbers on
the analog output), or to do it in editing with software.

I would prefer not to do the capture via analog - for obvious reasons. How
do I do this in software? What editing packages support this? Studio seems
not to...

VBG

Just logged in to say someone pointed me to this earlier today, and after
trying it out I bought it. Works like a charm!

Highly recommended!
