Hi,

I have a printer that i'm printing to via wilress using the belkin print
server, the thing is that once the paper is out I get a message that appears
stating the paper is out, if this message is ignored ( which is possible as
multiple machines are using the prints server ) the print jobs build up. All
is fine so far, but if the paper isnt changed with in a givew period of
time , lets just say 30 mins, it as if the OS ( XP Proffesional ) times out
the print and stops checking its status, as when the paper is eventually
changed the print jobs dont automatically start printing. To start them
printing again the user must go to thier print queue and click restart on
the first print job.

What im hoping for is a setting that will increase what I believe is a
spooler timeout period ?
Or maybe a third party program that will check the printer status longer
than the OS does ?

Basically anything to solve this problem

Thanks

Jon

I found the likes of the following registry settings

but they dont seem to be right

NetPrinterDecayPeriod REG_DWORD
Range: Milliseconds
Default: 3,600,000 (1 hour)
Specifies how long to cache a network printer. The cache is used to present
the list of printers when the browse list is used.

RefreshTimesPerDecayPeriod REG_DWORD
Range: 1 - 5
Default: 2
Specifies how many times to inform the browse masters and backup servers per
decay period. The default value is two times per hour. Do not set a zero
value if you specify both RefreshTimesPerDecayPeriod and
ServerThreadTimeout; the system will wait for the maximum of either the
ServerThreadTimeout or the RefreshTimesPerDecayPeriod.
