Hello, today i accidentally spilt water on my desk, a little bit went over my PC with a tiny drop landing on the top of the GPU.

I've turned it off and have left it to dry for now, i was wondering if this potentially has damaged the GPU?

Thanks.

Solution
Unlikely if its only a drop.

Best thing....switch off the mains supply to the pc. Then blot as much as you can off with a piece of tissue. Let it then dry for at least 24 hrs before turning it on to check.
It's not just water that will damage computer components, but the combination of electricity & water. Just as long as your dried it off and left it ample time to dry you should be fine.

I've turned it on today and it seems good. The event gave me the opportunity to go out and get some compressed air to clean out the dusty ol' fella. Thanks for all comments.
