Hi, I'm new to building a pc and have just got a build finished. I've got a budget of $2000 or so and was wondering if you have any tips for me. I will be using Windows 10.
Here is my current build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/FtFhcT
My goals for this build are to:
  • Have a good gaming pc for running games 1920x1080 resolution on max settings, possibly up to 4k
  • Having a VR ready build
  • Having enough storage for heavy modding of games (possibly up to a terabyte of mods for Bethesda games)
  • Will probably not want to overclock
Thanks for any tips you can give me. Also, if you have any good recommendations for good 4k moniters, please let me know as well.

Thanks for the advice!

A bit of a different perspective than Hellfire, primarily differentiating with using an AIO, fewer drives of higher capacity, and 850w PSU rather than 750w.

If you can afford it I highly recommend this TV as a 120hz gaming monitor. I got a 55 inch and wall mounted it. I absolutely love it!

One thing I will say owning a Sabrent Rocket as a boot drive is that it is very fast but I have run into a few problems with it. Mainly when leaving the system on idle. Most of those problems were fixed with a firmware update but that's about it. I think for these purchases paying an extra $30 for a Samsung 980 Pro would be worth it.

Alternately if you want to go cheaper, a WD SN750 is a great primary drive and you really wouldn't lose much in terms of boot and load speeds.
