Tips for switching from windows to linux

I bet not a lot of people own a gaming pc (laptop) on linux. My dell G5 557 was with linux but with the pc knoledge of my dad who always knows what to do , he bought windows and i told him not to buy a laptop with linux because i knew i was going to have problems...
In the lines of 130C Cpu and eighty7 gpu.
from the pure anger i got when i was playing fortnite and got the performance of a mid range calculator.... and smashed my keyboard because of the intellegence of my dad.(and lost my eight ;()
So im thinking of switching to linux to make a test of how its going to run
im wondering if i can backup my drives and if i dont like linux i can switch to win like nothing happaned,
Also would love some tips because i have used linux only when i first booted the laptop (20 mins)

Is that game itself consuming all the resources? there should some other programs running underneath have noticed any?

nope discord the game and google
other things are the system apps. Today it actually became unusable
talked to dell support , complete ape did not help did not improve nothing other than my sureness that dell are r(e)tards

Also could it do with my core and memmory clock, because i installed msi afterburner and i see its set really low.

Even without any OC upon it should work halfway more better than how you explained. So i guess there something wrong with the system... without solving the issue there no help in touching any of those OCs.
So first change the OS and see whether it will act in different way.

Why telling very low? is that because of those 0s in settings?
Have you down clocked anything?

Yes it says 0, and its almost to the very start of the bar.
I havent over, down havent upped or downed any of my pc specs.
I just upped my core and memory frequency to a little bit more , a little bit more that the half

Everything 0 means stock level which is not a problem. Let them be at 0 until figure out the problem.

Every time i set even the lowest amount more than zero it crashes, i talked to the customer service, the biggest handicapped company, i actually hope they get bombed and they fail or bankrupt, they say that if the pc is working so they cant take it, that was my pc for the rest of my years until i hit 18 and have enough money. To there my retarded father can continue saying dell is the best company, for the 3 and a half years remaining and buy me heaters do forge swords with

Just be relax do a clean OS installation and again install all the drivers then see.. even then you getting same thing that's where you should blame on them. Dell consumer grade Laptops usually not doing the best compared to the other brands.

THE STORY STRETCHES AGAIN!

Right now i was playing fortNUT for 1 hour with epic settings with no lag whatsoever,
switched to overwatch without letting it cool down, 100+ fps ez on high settings.
How did i do it you ask?
I unplugged my monitor.
Acer, Samsung, Panasonic... Tried a lot of monitors but all get same performance - 20 fps
Its SUPER uncomfortable staring in to that 15 inc screen compared to my acer but ITS SOOO SMOOTH
