Tips on custom gaming pc???

Solution
Turned out a bit over budget and still missing a case, but I definately would pay the premium to get the 4690K combined with Z97 mobo. If you go for non-K CPU you can save a bit on the mobo and go for H97 or even H81.

Edit: Lol didn't see at first, but because of discount and rebate turned out well below 800$. You'll probably pay a bit more in the end when selecting suppliers, but maybe you can still keep it under 800$ after adding your preferred case. check cooler compatibility though.

Solution
A few more things:
- The promo on the Gigabyte GTX970 isnt valid anymore so I replaced it with an ASUS (might as well get MSI Gaming 970).
- The ASUS Z97 board above, although being a great board is quite expensive. Found intersting promo for MSI Z97 Krait so I selected that one now.
