Titan X VS. SLI 970 VS. SLI 980 vs 390x

Okay guys so this is basically just opinion based. I am wanting to know what you guys think I should do for my GPU situation. I plan on getting the ROG SWIFT around Christmas time but since I have some spending money right now, I am pretty certain I will get a new GPU setup.

So my options are as the title says. Any other options would be well appreciated too.

So my problems are: Titan X is a beast. No doubt. But it is also $1200 where I live.. (Canada)
Then for the SLI 970s the VRAM issue kind of scares me..
Then for the 980s.. Well lets face it, they will be capped at 4GB of VRAM and they are more expensive than a single Titan X will be.

I guess what I am asking for is what you think, Titan X or single 970? My system is as follows:

4790k
H100i
Maximus Hero VII
4x4GB Trident X Series @ 2400MHz CL10
Phantom 410
EVGA G2 750W
1 x STRIX 970

Thank you :)

I guess I can address them one at a time.
Titan x: Best availble single gpu but costs way too much to be a logical purchase and that especially true with the price. It loses to sli 970 and sli 980 in terms of preformance. It's does support a beast 12 GB vram and it's not powerful to use all 12 at once.
Sli 980: The most expensive option out of the group but performs significant better than Titan x and sli 970. This combination is also not a very good option at 1100 in us. Limited to 4 gb but no more ie needed than at moment.
Sli 970: This is lowest cost option and also the best value option. Sli 970 will put you in ultra detail at 1440p and high on 4k resolution. I personally own this combo and game at 4k. The 3.5 vram is not a problem for me at all with my sli 970.
390x: This one is an unknown. No reliable information available.

Being sli 970 owner, I highly recommend it especially at the price point. A 1440p monitor shouldn't cause vram issues at all. If you have the money for a titan x it will beat every other single card by about 33%.
Sli 980 are fastest combo of the group but are way to expensive and doesn't perform well enough to pay the premium over sli 970.

Sounds like SLI 970s are the way to go. I just didn't know if the VRAM would be an issue or not.. And I haven't been able to talk to anyone that has SLI 970s that play at a higher res.

Thank you
