Can Windows 7 RC 64x be installed on a newly built i7 system on a blank HDD?

If so, is anything else needed aside from the W7RC image burned onto a DVD?

I have read quite a few conflicting answers.

Yes. WIn 7 RC 64x can be installed on a new i7 system on a black HDD. I have done it. Almost all drievrs can be installed automatically except one network card (I didn't try again because there is a onboard network card).
