If you can't install the Desktop Program of Skype... trying going to the Windows Store to install that version... or vice verse.

I downloaded tried to install, but it just keeps hanging and says it will take a few minutes. I am using Windows 7

how long have you waited?
maybe it's downloading, try checking the network tab in task manager

Thanks Thineswar and appreciate your help. It was unable to install as the antivirus was updating and hence blocking or using most of the bandwidth. Hence, I was able to install it at early in the morning and skype is working fine. Blessings.
