I am currently staring at 2 systems (part lists). One has a GTX 770 and a Mobo and PSU that will not support SLI while the other has a GTX 760 and a Mobo and PSU that WILL support SLI. Now my question is do I go with the system that has more up front power with the 770 or do I build the system which has a clear upgrade path? All opinions welcome!

I would drop the large and expensive water cooler and go with a quality air one. Unless your planning on overclocking the cpu above 4.6GHz I don't see the point. It will give you more budget for the parts that matter and you can always get the water cooler afterwards once you have saved up some money.

£1350 including screen and keyboard

Thats a pretty healthy budget, I don't see why you shouldn't be able to get everything you want in there. Can you list out the parts you are currently looking at and what your main purpose for the rig will be? i.e. gaming, video editing etc...
