Toms Hardware IT App sharing our info?

Haven't been on the forums in years so maybe this was posted already, however I use this app and am very concerned now..

So everyone can have insight into the issue, this app wasn't official, so it was actually not related to us in any way. We don't have insight into when or why it was created and no one on our team ever had access to any info on the back-end.

We did follow up with Facebook to make sure the app was shutdown, but we weren't able to get it to do anything but throw error messages before that happened, so it didn't seem to be very effective at taking info from folks.

The app definitely serves no function now, so future issues can be avoided. Thanks very much for calling this issue out. If you ever see any apps claiming to be from us, you're very welcome to ping us here on the forums to confirm if it's legit. We'll do our best to get answers quickly.
