The PSU has a blue led fan inside whitch looks good through the side of my case ....ive checked the temps inside and their all below normal so its all good also gettin a good wattage and amps

Looking for a cheap case to move all of my current PC parts into so I can mod my cm 690, paint, some cutting etc.

Any suggestions? Budget $20-$50 or less. I'll give the case to my brother afterwards.. so he can have a nicer case.

Reason I ask is I can't go without my pc for a few days ;p

too bad your not around here im trying to sell my storm sniper for about 50 or so.

is it possible to add another fan to the tx3

Yes it is...the tx3 comes with clips for another fan if u choose to buy one i highly recomend it ..i paid like 10 $ for mine on sale

anyways, here run this:

Hi all,

got a lot of inspiration from this particular thread! :) Lot of wonderful machines here you guys have!
I've been a lurker for MANY years here on Tom's.

So here's my rig:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X3 720 BE@2.8GHz (unlocked 4th core and clocked at 3.3GHz@1.5V with temps ~37C idling | ~51C Prime)
RAM: 2x4GB Patriot Sector 5 DDR3 1600 (7-7-7-20, 1333)
MB: Asus M4A79XTD Evo
GPU: Asus Direct CU II GTX 570 (900/1800/2000@1.1V)
SSD: OCZ Agility 3 120GB
HDD: Seagate 320GB
SOUND: Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer powering Logitech Z-Series 5.1
PSU: Corsair TX650 V2 650W
CASE: Antec P183 v2
COOLING: Noctua NH-U12P CPU Cooler, 2x NF-S12B, 1x Antec Tri-cool
MONITOR: Dell 2209WA IPS (22")

On cooling I'm running negative pressure since this case doesn't really have a space for two intake fans in the upper chamber. BTW best case I've ever had!

Tuesday I'm receiving new CPU Phenom II x4 975 3.6GHz which will hopefully help me get over 4GHz for the first time in my life! :sol:
Got a good deal on that CPU so this is the most upgrade I can get with current motherboard. Then I will have to think about switching to Intel (been with AMD since socket A but the power is clearly on Intel's side)

I love my computer (I'm clinical about my stuff) and my wife is a big support regarding my hobby 😀
Here are some pics, enjoy :sol:

@The_Gladiator
I originally bought that PSU (TX650 V2) and returned it because it was as loud as a lawn mower. Replaced it with a SeaSonic and it's almost impossible to hear. Just curious if you have the same experience?

Well, to be honest, I've read about that issue but decided to risk it anyway and I don't have this problem.

It might be because of my dual-chamber case and also maybe because the case is extremely well sound-insulated so I can't hear it.

I just took the side panel off to test it for you and I can only hear the fan when I put my head right next to it. Maybe under load it gets louder but at that point my speakers are on so I don't hear it

Great! Guess I just got a bad egg 😉 Nice build too! I have the older version of that case (P180 Black) and it's the best case I've ever owned.

It was only with the V2's. But you're right, luck-o-the-draw!

Mobo - ASUS P8Z68 V LE LGA 1155 Intel Z68
RAM - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8G (2X4G)
PSU - Thermaltake 850w Black Widow Modular
CPU - Intel i5 2500k Sandy Bridge with Turbo Boost
HSU - Zalman Copper CPU Cooler
HDD - WD Caviar Blue 500GB 7200rpm Sata 6g 12mb
Case - Rosewill Challenger ATX Mid Tower
GPU - HIS Radeon HD 6790 1G 256bit GDDR5

PSU went out this morning so it's going back to the manufacturer. I bought the Thermaltake this afternoon and haven't hooked it up yet. I removed the picture but will have a new one up soon. Also, I'll move the RAM over. Will it mess anything up if I move the RAM?
