Ooops I almost posted something that would have needed moderation :) People love to bash brands, and I myself don't care for Thermaltake's business practices... but like most companies they buy PSUs from actual manufacturers. Sometimes they buy good PSUs, often they buy bad ones.
The only way to know about a PSU for sure is to read actual reviews from qualified reviewers that use proper (expensive) testing equipment.

Some of the newer TR2 PSUs may be OK, and most of their Tough Power line is OK. I will never recommend them for many reasons, but if you own one you probably don't need to throw it out.

That's enough off-topic though :) Feel free to read the PSU guide linked in my sig.

Oooo thanks!

I haven't seen that one, sounds great though. Have you got a link for the post?

If you can get the Hyper 212 Evo go with it, basically is the same 212+ but with better performance and very similar price.

One thing I would suggest is that you move your HDD to the bottom hdd cage next to the psu, and remove the drive slots from where the HDD currently is. Should help with airflow a little :)

I updated my system except for 2 things that haven't arrived yet and *1 or 2 cables still need a little effort*

I plan on replacing the Noctua fan with a http://www.frozencpu.com/products/8409/fan-526/Noiseblocker_NB-BlackSilentFan_XLP_120mm_x_25mm_Ultra_Quiet_PWM_Fan_-_1000-2000_RPM_-_14-31_dBA.html

I think its high air pressure will do nice where its at. As well I am replacing the sli bridge for an evga black 2-way one so for now just ignore the ugly orange/brown and imagine the sexy black/bue. OFC I will update this post with these pictures when they arrive.

For the pci cables I used some modders tape and tried my hardest to make them wrap around the side of the gpu while not affecting airflow whatsoever. As well I added a modright 120mm clear dust filter to my new 3rd front intake fan since it needed it imo :)

Lmk what you guys think :) (Mega Overkill Criticism is welcomed)

/e Right now the only fan exhausting is the rear 140mm (also have 1x 120mm intake on side panel atm). The two top 140mm are intaking thanks to Prox :) now my gpu temps are equal 24/7 instead of top being hotter than bottom 😀 😀 😀

Don't those fans on the inside rattle like hell? How noisy is this guy? (I assume the 670s vent themselves out the rear, right?)

The only real criticism I have is that you should fix whatever is making your drive hang out of the upper cage. Looks like it'll fall at any second.

Nope no vibrations from the fans whatsoever.

The HDD is secure, I just had to pull it inwards a bit so the sata data cables wouldn't rub against the 3rd front intake fan.

Already got the black sli bridge on the way, and installing 2x 670 backplates atm.

/e Done installing the backplates

So I finally got around to cleaning up my office. Got some pics of the beast after he went green:

I'll try and get some inside pics tomorrow. Doing a simple i3 build for my bud so might drag out the beast and clean her. Also need to install my new 128GB SSD.

This has been 2 years in the making for me,

Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3
Amd 1090t
12 gigs Gskill sniper ram (1600)
ultra X4 1050 watt ps
HT Claro audio card
Asus 680 video card
1tb wd black windows 7 64bit
1tb wd black sindows xp 64 bit
80gb wd windows xp 32 bit
1tb wd green (music storage)
In Win Dragon rider case
I am a big music lover so the ht claro is coupled to a nad 114 preamp going to a adcom 6000 amp which puts 100 wpc to a set of E715 cerwin vegas and 60 wpc to a pair of monitor 70 series polk speakers

lol I didn't want to show how sloppy it was in there was a little embarrassed after seeing some of the other rigs in here

Slide show updated with a better view of inside, I am going to get inside the case and organize it better, I'm not trying to make excuses but over the last two month I have added 3 fans for a total of six and 2 more hardrives as well as swapping video cards in and out I know it can be much better I just have to quit being lazy and get in there.

I see the point in it,
One Os has his music stuff on, another could be work, and the last one a personal Os for gaming etc,
messier in one sense but tidy and organised in another,
I approve of it hehe,
but the cables need some work bro, even with a modular Psu you are struggling there 😛

+1
all those different OS's is a waste of time and space..

Some of my games will not work with windows 7, so I dual boot with xp32 bit, I wanted to see if xp 64 bit was better and I agree that was a waste of time, I have a 1000 cd's some worth some money hence the forth drive, threw trial and error I found it's not a good idea to fill a my hard drive with the operating system on it with music, slows down my system.

I agree 100%, it really got messy when I started adding drives and fans and I did forget to mention I have 2 LG bluray drives and a card reader as well. I am going to get rid of the 64 bit xp and try to partition that off so I can try linnux and windows 8 just to see what they have to offer. After I get that situated I will get in there and rework the cables. I know I could have done much better.
