[citation][nom]Chainzsaw[/nom]I would love to be an editor, i've followed technology for the past 10 years and have seen many great strides in the tech. industry. I read many technology sites including Toms over the years to help me understand the components of computers. However, there are many more people out there that are much more qualified than I.I would love to be able to play with the newest, hottest technology around. But location does not favor me.Wish the best of luck to whoever gets it![/citation]

Location? You know our Don W. is in Canada, eh? 😛

[citation][nom]acku[/nom]Depends on the copy editor. Some people work fast. Some people work slow. It's really about the end product.[/citation]

Of course it does! I was looking more for a range of expected number of hours. Clearly 30-40 hours per week would be much different from 10-15 hours per week.

Varies by writer and how much work they need. There are times where I spend two hours in a day for a complete edit, and other times where the finished product takes me two days to finish!

are Tom's Hardware interested in Indonesian languange translator ? because I notify Tom's hardware doesn't have Indonesian languange version.
I am willing

Wait, all these people talking about what languages they speak are confusing me. Specifically for the copy editing, must one possess a fluency in other languages besides English? I am certainly interesting in filling in my spare time with editing, but only language I know (fluently at least) is English.

For the freelance copy editing position, you NEED a high level of English proficiency. However, we're always looking for talent, and translating doesn't always have to be bound by that restriction. That's not to say we need translators, but it never hurts to send an email. We do however need a copy editor and a few freelance writers.

If we write a article, do we need to also format it and submit it in HTML?
My college teacher always told me that I could probably land myself somewhere doing reviews or articles based off my submitted work. :\

Part of the process is getting into our CMS, but that's the easy part for someone who's already technically-minded and a good writer ;-)

Sweet! Will there be a minimum age requirement? I've love to contribute writing but I'm not sure I'm old enough... Also, how would an internship be different from a normal position?

If you're 16 and can demonstrate the necessary skill and maturity, that's fine by me. I started in this industry when I was 18, personally.

I'd actually like to, but i already ended up writing news/review pieces for a newspaper here in India.

Would love to join Tom's, and have thought about doing so for a long time (if i'd ever be offered a chance), but this is really the most i can handle alongside engineering...

Besides, India needs a greater exposure to enthusiast stuff, so i'm focusing my efforts in that area for the time being.

Anyway, all the best, looking forward to more great stuff from Tom's!

It doesn't require you to move to California, unless of course you want to 😀

Tom's Hardware staff is located all across the United States and the world for that matter. The Editorial Team is a work at home type of position and doesn't require being in Tom's Hardware's offices.
