OK, whatever, but you avoid responding to the point, which is telling: do really think that we shouldn't have high res screens because some software doesn't handle it? Should we just stop now and be done? The original comment I was responding to was idiotic, and you seem to support it: 4K should arbitrarily be the limit, there are no benefits for higher res screens and the Windows start button is apparently the key determinant of screen resolution. When you're done trying to my username to mock me, in vain, maybe you could address even one of these points?
 
I'm not a monitor guy, I just made reference to your comment because that misquote is so often abused (ie, if he had said 640k was enough, he would have been referring to the things you could do with the combination of his software and appropriate hardware at the time, not in the future).
