@otacon: limited market =/= no market. Not everyone has a new car, and like you said even in 2008 only half had the option. There's plenty of customers for this to make a profit, which is all that matters. You don't have to buy it if you don't need it.

one thing bad about these portable gps systems are that they totally lag when you are in big cities like nyc.
