I have lost the grey toolbar at the bottom of the page above start menu and
quick launch bar. It shows when pop-ups are blocked or allowed, web
addresses of links before you click, etc. Does anyone know how to get it
back?

If you are referring to Internet Explorer, while in Internet Explorer, click
on VIEW, then STATUS BAR.

Hi, Dan.

I think you mean Internet Explorer's Status Bar. Windows Explorer has a
similar bar. In IE, click View and make sure there is a check mark beside
Status Bar.

If the Status Bar appears but doesn't "stick" - if it's gone the next time
you start IE - then you may need to open a Windows Explorer window (press
Win+E) and make sure the check mark is in front of Status Bar there, too.
WE and IE are very closely related and many things that happen in one of
them also affect the other.
