Hello
Can you list the tools needed to build a new pc. Such as screwdriver, static electricity band. and where to purchase them?
Thanks

Solution
the esd bands, it is nice to have them but in reallity, you can't use them if your house doesn't have propper grounding, which is the case of 90% of houses

work in a table, made of wood preferably, don't stand over a carpet and don't touch the contacts on the cpu and ram, also gpu and you should be fine

other tools i find useful to have is a small led light, so your smartphone acting like a led light is helpful

some pliers if the case is cheap will help you

a philis screwdriver, one with not that big head and one with a not that small head will be enough, also you could buy a screwdriver kit with bits like these...
Well you can find a phillips screw driver in jsut about any hardware store. Even a dollar store. ESD bands aren't really needed, but I do have 3 myself. I got them off amazon which was like $5/piece. Just make sure to touch the metal part of the case every once in a while when dealing parts like RAM, motherboard, etc. Other than that, the only other tool is patience.

Yup. Only thing I use, is a screwdriver or a rechargeable one. Never used a strap. Nothing has fried (yet)

Put the mobo on a table or something. Install the CPU on the mobo outside the case.

It's not that easy installing it on the mobo if the mobo has been installed

If the case doesnt have standoffs in it, remember to put them in, before you install the mobo

eventually you will want to have both, for future asseblies, repairs and other projects you will want to do
