Both modes have merits and demerits. Neither side will listen to the other.
Top-posting seems to be becoming the more prevalent usage, perhaps due to
the fact that most people are used to emails containing the reply and then -
for reference - the original. In either case, prudent snipping helps.

I noticed top posting becomming more prevelant with the infestation of
Usenet with AOL'ers and WebTV'ers.

true, bottom posting is correct, top posting is NOT...

Then the issue is snipping, not top-posting. Why didn't you say so? I
always edit for brevity.

I disgaree, I have marked it to keep and plagarise next time the topic
comes up, as it does with regularity in any Usnet group.

To the OP, well done ! 😉

That's a new twist. Usually it's Bill Gates and Windows that get the blame.

GOSH! That told him.

(snipped completely, mainly due to the fact that this is a video newsgroup
not one on posting etiquette!)

Personally I am more interested in the reply than where it is posted. You
are sound like are a bunch of old CBer's who believe they must keep up with
10 codes when it not needed.

No, it's as old as the internet became commercialised. AOL and WebTV
started it's demise, followed by countless examples in the rest of the
world.
By the way Gary, if you like top-posting, I would suggest taking the
signature-seperator off. I wanted to quote the post as well to which
you responded, and because of the seperator, the post to which you
responded got cut-off, so I had to open my box of tricks to reply.

cheers
