Top coat of Laptop fades

I've got a Toshiba Satelite laptop and it's a bit old.Recently, I noticed that the paint that has been applied to the Laptop peels off..I applied some nail polish on it to prevent spreading the condition. Is there a recommended paint or liquid apply as a top coat on the laptop?
