Hello, I posted a whole ago about getting a new system with either a i9 13900k or 7800x3d, for the most part people reccomend the 7800x3d due to its slightly more powerful gaming capabilities, it’s lower power draw, and likely to be easier to upgrade with its socket -
This brings me to a question, would it be better to get the 7950x3d? Is it more powerful than the 7800x3d? Or should I just stick with the 7800 for 4k games

For 4K gaming the GPU will do the most of the work, it doesnt matter if you go with the 7800x3d or 7950x3d for gaming at 4k, it will be little to no difference fps wise.
Have you decided to upgrade your GPU?

Yeah, I’m going to an entire new system instead of just upgrading
I’ll be going with one of the above CPUs and a 4090

If you are going with a 4090, you are more than fine for 4K gaming.
As for the CPU, in the end its your decision, but you will gain little to no performance benefit by going with a 7950x3D, over a lets say 7800x3D, not to mention it will cost you $300 more, since the 7800X3D is $399, and the 7950X3D is $699, if your main is use of this PC is going to be 4K gaming...
What about other components, have you decided on those?

AM5 might be the better bet as you'll have another 2-3 generations of CPU's coming out before end of life for the socket.

But I'm a big fan of incremental upgrades.
