Question TOP PC - build help - 9950x3D & 5090

Hi,

I’ve already got a few components lined up for my future PC build, but I’m stuck on what to get for the rest:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 9950X3D
GPU: GIGABYTE RTX 5090
RAM: G.SKILL 2x48GB 6000MHz CL28
SSD: WD SN8100 2TB

Now I need a motherboard that can tie everything together, a solid PSU, proper CPU cooling, and a case.

Do you have any interesting suggestions?

If there's no performance difference, I’m not looking to spend extra just for the sake of it. Performance is the priority.

Main software I use:
Topaz Video AI
Topaz Photo AI
Topaz Gigapixel
Adobe Lightroom
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe After Effects
Adobe Premiere Pro

So it’s a mix of rendering, upscaling, and enhancing – working with large files.

As for gaming, I don’t expect to play much (if at all), but I do want to be able to run all current titles at max quality, ideally with enhancement mods (GTA V VR / Cyberpunk VR / Skyrim VR / Indiana Jones VR / Alan Wake 2, etc.).

At least a 1000W PSU, probably 1200W given you are leaning towards heavy workloads.

You pick a motherboard based on what you plan to plug into it. Do you need faster than 2.5Gbps network, WiFi 6E/7? Fast USB ports?

CPU cooling, GPU, and motherboard size end up determining the chassis limitations. So kind of need to pick those at while you are at it. Probably help you out to get started:
