Toshiba 1TB Hard Drive Problem on Mac and Recovery Options

I was using my Toshiba 1TB hard drive and all of sudden it stopped and started clicking. I immediately ejected it from my Mac safely. I went on the message boards to see what the clicking meant and it didn't look good so I tried to reconnect the hard drive so that I could at least get my photos off of it. Now the hard drive will not connect to my Mac and eventually the disk utility will come up with a notification that the drive is unable to be read. Is there a way to have the hard drive connect to my Mac so that I can get those files? What are the options for recovery of my files?

At this stage, if you really want the files back then send it out for recovery. Do not power it up again.
