Toshiba 3.0 USB not working

I purchase TOSHIBA 3.0 External disk and it worked just fine till now. I connected it to my TV yesterday and since then it is not working when I connect it to my computer. It is giving error as " ACCESS IS DENIED" But it seems to be working fine on the TV though.

When I go on my computer the drive is showing up as NTFS. How do I gain access to my files again?

If you can even see the files, select them all and take ownership of the folders/files inside in the security tab. If you can't even see the files, boot off a Linux Live disk, and copy those files from the external drive to the computer drive and see if you can open them then.
