Question toshiba c655d s5300 mother board

can i upgrade the mother board or just get a replacement? this is not for gaming. i broke the power up plug on the mother board...just looking to beef it up if possible

Laptop motherboards are almost never upgradable. They are not built to a size and shape standard like most desktops.

ok..... the computer came to me from my girl friend, from her uncle. it had a toshiba lock. i tried some rebboot unlocks...i broke the insert on the mother board to the power up. my question is should i get a new mother board (original) or can i rebuild? rebuild means update it. if it remains the same i can use it to to bidsd and quotes on site

You can't upgrade it, only replace with original.

But, its a 10 year old, low power laptop that wasn't great when it was new. How much money do you want to put into it?
