I have a Toshiba C655D-S5300 laptop. Both USB ports are dead. After trying all fixes I am down to replacing the mother board which is part number V000225210. I ordered V000225210 from a seller who sent me a V000225130 Mobo instead, telling me it is completely compatible. Stating the only difference is the year of manufacture and the series. From what I can find the V000225210 has a AMD E-300 Apu with Radeon HD graphics 1.30ghz processor and the V000225130 comes with a E-350 1.6ghz processor. Otherwise these mobo's look identical. Can you enlighten me please?

Well if you've already ordered it then try installing it. If it's the same size it should fit. Assuming it works, you may also have issues with devices not working and also Windows license issues.

I personally would have recommended not ordering a new motherboard and just replacing the laptop altogether. What you would have to pay a technician to replace the motherboard in a laptop this old would cost more than a newer and much better laptop.

Atleast HP laptops there could be problems when you replace screens or motherboard. If there is ID in bios for exact Screen or other part you will get message when booting. You can however fix it by rewriting or flash bios without serial numbers etc. I dont know if i can help with this by forum rules?

Yes. It installed without any issues. Booted up like new. I paid $25.00 on ebay.
