I was using CPUz and it says that my Toshiba satellite c55d's ram is at 800mhz. I was hoping to clock it up to 1600mhz so that my APU could take advantage of the higher band with and game a little easier. Is there any way that i could do so.

Solution
Three things,

1. Your RAM is already running at 1600Mhz. RAM in your system is what is known as DDR, thats Dual-data rate, meaning the Mhz reported you are seeing is actually double that.

2. Your laptop almost certainly does not support overclocking of the RAM. This can only be done in BIOS, and laptops almost never support it.

3. If you want to improve performance you would be better off to look at overclocking the CPU or GPU, buying a dual-channel RAM kit if you don't already have one, or buying faster RAM if you want to improve.
