I am in urgent need of any advice to solve a touchpad problem that just came
out of nowhere.
I have a laptop with a synaptics touchpad. I am able to move the cursor
around the screen. However, left clicking on anything produces no results.
Occasionally the right click will work on certain areas such as the task bar
- although a left click is needed to activate a selection. I am able to
access some programs using the arrow, tab keys, etc. and applications seem to
work - but I am unable to navigate to all needed areas.
When moving the cursor over areas such as a link in IE it will show the url
etc. Its just the clicking which no longer seems to function.
Unfortunately I am unable to use the restore function, and I also have the
same problem while in safe mode.
Any suggestions would be appreciated
