Touchpad drivers automatically update, causes touchpad failure

Been having an issue with my touchpad where it stops working completely. I could previously roll back my drivers and have some functionality (although the touchpad keys or scroll function would be lost). I managed to find a newer driver from synaptics with the software that seemingly fixed everything. However, when the PC restarts or is shut down completely W10 decides that my drivers aren't up to date and wants to reinstall the new drivers. These drivers screw up everything and I have to reinstall the synaptics drivers and software to get it fixed again.

I've tried to figure out how to get W10 to stop installing that update, but I haven't had any luck whatsoever. Even contacted windows support which was less than helpful. Anyone have any sort of solution or workaround to this issue?

Sadly, none of those steps work. The "Disable Automatic Download of Drivers from Windows Update" doesn't look the same on my PC and is already set to do not download automatically.

The downloadable tool also did not have the touchpad drivers in its list.
