Touchpad is not slick enough

My touchpad is not slick at all. It is not even that worn out when I look at it but when I run my finger across it some of it isn't as slick as the rest. I ordered a laptop touchpad cover but it won't get here for a while.

I was wondering if there was some sort of spray I could put on the touchpad that would make it slick. I already assume it would still function well since I have tried various tapes and it still worked fine but they weren't that slick. None of the tapes left any residue by the way.

Consider using a wireless mouse instead, my wife & I both dislike using laptop touchpads, much easier with a mouse.

Yea I would but I use my laptop on the couch and there is nowhere to put the mouse while I'm sitting there.

most new mice will practically work on any surface nowadays. And they are much easier to use (and quicker) than the mousepad.

Wow I just moved my mouse across the arm of my recliner and it worked flawlessly. LOL I never knew mice had gotten so good.

I know, right! I've often used my little mouse on my leg!!
