Touchscreen works intermittently

The touchscreen on my Toshiba Satellite works intermittently. When it stops working, it disappears from the Device manager/Human Interface Devices, so it cannot be reactivated from there. When working, I have verified that the drivers are the most current. Is there another solution?

Could be something with USB power saving

Did you try another usb port?
