Hey,

I have a ‘TP-LINK - TL-WR841N’ router and I use it as my primary router and I have two ‘TP-LINK - TL-WPA4220’ powerline adapters which I have linked to my primary router via LAN cables and placed in different rooms.

My internet was working perfectly fine but lately, the powerline adapters have been acting up and the internet connectivity keeps going off. The powerline adapters system log mentioned ‘DHCP server stopped / started’ a couple of times and I tried assigning a Static IP for the powerline adapters but it isn’t working. I’m lost.

Please help!

Does the following link show the powerline adapters you are using?

https://www.tp-link.com/us/home-networking/powerline/tl-wpa4220/

You mention connecting the powerline adapters via LAN cables. Please verify the connections.

Here is what I would expect:

Router <---ethernet --->Powerline adapter < ==AC circuit==>Powerline adapter <---ethernet --->PC

Are the outlets on both ends on the same circuit? Has anything else been added/plugged into the AC circuit(s)?

Check the Status lights per physically numbered Page 4 of the following link:

https://static.tp-link.com/2019/201901/20190118/1910012357_TL-WPA4220_UG_REV4.0.0.pdf

Start by swapping out the ethernet cables with known working ethernet cables.

Next try...

You’ve got everything right but I feel that the issue is within the network settings.

What static IP addresses did you assign to the powerline adapters?

Are you able to run and post the results of "ipconfig /all" via the command prompt on a working network PC?

The error message suggests power losses or some connectivity loss with respect to the router.
