Hey guys;
I've just read about Windows 11 launch later this year. So naturally, I downloaded and ran the tool from Microsoft to determine whether my PC is ready for Windows 11. It is not, due to the lack of TPM 2.0.
My system is:
Asus Tuf Gaming X570 Plus Wifi mobo
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU
I have been trying to learn whether or not I have a TPM chip or whether the Ryzen 7 CPU has the firmware to enable TPM 2.0
I access the BIOS, and did see something like 'fTPM' on the advanced menu, but was unable to select it. So, does that indicate that my CPU/Mobo cannot do TPM, or is there something else I need to do?
Note that I currently have dual-boot with Linux Grub 2.0 as the bootloader. I have Ubuntu 20.04 and Windows 10 Pro installed.
Honestly, I'm not very excited about Windows 11, but I am curious to learn whether or not it will be an option for me with this build, or that I may need to wait until my next build - maybe by 2025 when Windows 10 support ends.
Thanks
