I have been using Windows 11 successfully for months. Suddenly I can no longer write to my Data H: drive. They were correct, I could not write to my H: drive. First H: is now seen as an external drive. There was a message on start-up that if I did not Encrypt H: it would be read-only. My processor and MB are non-TPM. I edited group policies to disable encryption and everything was fine again. Then the next day I again could not write to H: my Group Policies had not changed and were still disabled. I changed them again to not-configured and then back to disable and applied. Everything was fine again. However, the cycle continues. I added the key to MoSetup AllowUpgradesWithUnsupportedTPMOrCPU and paused updates to hopefully buy time. Any suggestions

This:

"I edited group policies to disable encryption and everything was fine again. "

Are you sure that those group policy edits were saved? Does your account have the necessary rights to do so?

As posted above, some photos would help. - including that message at startup.

Look in Task Manager and Task Scheduler. Any unrecognized apps or utilities being launched at startup or triggered later via Task Scheduler?

I have been gone for 10 days when I came back I hit resume updates and it did it again

Open the Disk Management window.

Expand the window to full size so all drive specs and information is visible.

Take a screen shot of the window and post the screenshot here via imgur (www.imgur.com).

FYI: Disk Management

Also, going back" "There was a message on start-up that if I did not Encrypt H: it would be read-only. "

If that message appears again then take a screenshot and post that image as well.
