HI.

I have a laptop hp probook 640 G1. My TPM is showing error because it shows a version update is needed.

Now here i don't understand that should i update the TPM firmware or i should do bios update. I also have never updated my bios. Just kind of afraid of doing it because bios should not be updated if things work fine.

My laptop is in uefi mode just for knowlege.

I first relied on windows updates but it doesn't show any updates related to it when i check for updates.

Please guide me in this.

There is always a risk to bricking the laptop by updating bios but it is very rare. Make sure your anticheat and firewall are disabled when you do it. You can either just ignore the error messages or do it, its up to you.

Newest bios version is 1.50 yours is very old, just go to https://support.hp.com/ and select your exact model, keep power cable and battery both connected when you update bios.

Anyways I went ahead and updated the bios to latest version. Things went fine. And it updated succesfully . But the tpm still shows those errors.
So should I just now ignore it or go ahead and update tpm firmware ?
By the how do we do that?
