I use a Oneplus One and Straight talk which is like tracfone. I have an ATT sim and always get 4G/LTE speeds in my town. My GF lives one town away and due to the population and tress I drop down to lower speeds if I connect at all. I think tracfone is run with different rules though I need to enter the tracfone info into my phone to make MMS texts work. If you can use Straight talk, I'd just use that. Tracfone might be cheaper, but seeing as you don't get unlimited everything I wouldn't bother.
