transfer printer driver to new computer

I have changed from a Dell OptiplexGX520 32 bit with Windows XP to a Dell Optiplex GX 780 64 bit.
I have an old Panasonic KX P1540 printer which I ran on the old computer having downloaded Epsom LQ1540 printer driver for which drivers of both are now unavailable on the `net. Is thtre a way of transferring the divers etc from the old 520 to the newer 780 on a USB memory stick please?
Please treat me like the newbie I am and make the answer understandable!
OR is it the case that the old Dell 32bit incompatible with the 780 64 bit?

Nope. Drivers cannot be 'transferred' in the manner you propose. You must reinstall them on the new PC. In addition, 32-bit drivers will not function on a 64-bit OS.

Now, that said. Windows may have a generic driver that will work. You will have to experiment a little.
