Transfer recovery partition to new SSD?

Hello, So I just bought a new HP laptop and need to make a hard drive change.
I want to install a SSD drive but I want to take the recovery partition off the old hard drive and put it on the SSD.
I assume,and hope that I can do this?

Do a clone and I think it will clone all partitions of the older drive. There are lot's of free cloning apps. I use a paid for Acronis True Image.

I think you'll like True Image. It does a lot more than clone drives. I use it to back up close to 100GB of stuff that I do not want to lose. Setting up drives in MBR or GPT format too. You can create a boot disk or just use the install disk to boot into True Image to clone and a lot more.
